Donations = Ministry “Fuel”
God is on the move and more and more people are being loved and served every month. We welcome new volunteers, donations of food, and tax-deductible monetary contributions. Monetary donations are used to “fuel” the ministry, literally, by putting fuel in our truck’s fuel tank and by providing other needed resources to keep the ministry moving. We have no paid employees just volunteers who are very generous with their time!
The outreach events serve 500 to 700 families per month. This equals about $15 per family served or about $6,900 total per month. The costs to acquire, store, move, and distribute thousands of pounds of food each month include:
- warehousing and securing donated food
- transporting food (fuel and vehicle maintenance)
- event and driver insurance
- event security
- hot lunch for recipients
- port-o-lets at the events
